ngl flying is pretty fucking baller
and im saying that even from a human perspective
in sburb we had dream selves that woke up while we slept and they could fly
though being part bird has definitely added onto it
flying feels like part of how im supposed to move now

I agree. Flight is such an elegant and relatively unlimited means of movement. Angelic flight has some significant differences from that of birds or other non-cosmic beings, of course, but they're close in many ways. I much prefer it to trying to balance upright on two legs everywhere I go.

I'll admit walking has grown on me, though, over time. But that may be just because of who it's come to be associated with.

The easiest way to explain it is that an angel's body exists on dozens different material planes simultaneously and can 'flicker' in and out of them at will and according to need, while humans and other non-cosmic beings are usually firmly anchored to one or two.
Our wings are still physical structures that generate lift and momentum in the same way a bird's do, but by choosing which planes we interact with we can move with much greater efficiency at higher speeds and over incredible distances. Even through time, with tremendous effort.
When I showed you my wings, I was essentially bringing them into close enough alignment with this plane of existence that they could cast shadows. Any closer and I would have risked causing serious damage to your eyes and potentially death.

The ability is suppressed, but not the familiarity with its means and ways.
There may be some quirk of the cycle that one of us is equipped to recognize.

the thing is that time travel doesnt work the same for everyone
ive talked to enough different people to know that
time travel in my universe relies on stable time loops
my other friend whos gone now could repeat a month back from the beginning but couldnt go back further than that
were not even sure if this is the product of a time thing and not just regular old linear repetition
at most im just fucking frustrated that theres been this many time travelers and we havent been able to control anything about it

Arguably a wider spread of experiences with time travel means a greater chance that one of us will find something familiar.
I don't think there's truly such a thing as coincidences.
But I may be biased.

There are angels other than myself who are more experienced with time travel across its many permutations, and who are wiser and cleverer. But I am here and they aren't. And you are here, and Dave isn't.
There may be a reason for this. There may be no reason for this.
It's not as useful, but if nothing else I think you understand my struggles in a way that Dave would not. I'm grateful for that.
