There are many possible spellings of my name, but the most common is Castiel.

I am glad your memory has returned. Do not concern yourself over your impiety. I'm used to it. [ He's not sure what to do about that comment about the aliens, though. For lack of a better idea, he falls back on the Heavenly standby. ] God is present in all universes. He is simply more subtle in His actions regarding some than others.

And yes, he has told me. I'm skeptical, but it is a possibility that I plan to address.

Do these symbols have any specific meaning to you?

[ Castiel attaches a photo of the symbols painted in blood on the walls of the once-sealed room in building 237. The image is slightly blurry and Ecks's shoulder is in the frame, but it should be clear enough to see. ]

theres some files in public data that show her but we arent sure how she got selected as prophet or why
theres some people in one saying how she saw something but saw what is hard to say
like we know she went blind from seeing these nukes hit the city but there were other people around when that happened too
anyway those eyes are associated with the cult that sprouted up around her

Hello, Claire. And that... Is strange, yes. But not bad. I just am not sure I would know how - this isn't the end of the process I'm used to being on.

Yeah, see, I wasn't sure how - how you communicate with Him, when you're down here on Earth.

[She takes a moment, composing herself, biting the inside of her lip as she tries to find the words she wants to use to explain it. It could be an easy one, she could just explain the usual - the Hail Mary's and the Our Fathers' and the Glory Be's. But it wouldn't really explain how she prays.]

I do follow the rosary template, but... I also like to just. Talk to Him. Is that wrong? Church was very strict on prayers, but for myself, I've always been a little more creative with them. I thought maybe He'd be more interested in hearing about life than just the same litanies.

Yes. I have been watching, though I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea for me to intervene.

[ There's a slight hesitation before he sends the rest of his response. He isn't sure how much of this he wants to admit, but it's weighing on him too heavily to keep entirely to himself. ]

I appreciate you trying to defend me, but he is right in many ways. I've done much to wrong the man whose body I currently inhabit, all in the service of a greater good that I'm not sure was either of those things to begin with.

Right in many ways doesn't mean completely right, and not where it matters. The man whose body you're inhabiting. It was something voluntary, right? He invited you in. Is he still there in your thoughts?

I'm well enough. Shaken, but... unharmed. Jimmy is much the same.

I... know I was meant to keep him better informed of what happens while I'm in control, but I haven't shown him the details of what happened when many of us were captured. I thought it would be better if he didn't know.

I think you made a wise choice there. When we talked he seemed a good man. And naturally, we talked about you. I feel like I should apologize for how forcefully I phrased some of my questions before. I'm not sure that your possession of him was wholly necessary but I believe that from your perspective, you saw only worse alternatives.

I was pretty sick, too. I kind of figured that I was dead weight, I wound up staying in the bathroom the whole time. But I'm better now. I managed to get out a little bit today and go scavenging. How far did you get?

We're alive again. As in, this is Jimmy, but Castiel is with me. He'll probably be back in a few days, like the last few times.
